Spanish concerts big week, TOOL!

Last week it's been the most important week in spain, musically speaking, well the first great concert was cancelled, The rolling Stones delayed his european tour due to Keith richards accident .... but anyway there's been Red Hot chilli Peppers, Guns'n'roses, Deftones, Alice in Chains and Tool.

Last night I was in Razzmatazz, Barcelona's biggest concert hall to see them live, after half hour delay Adam Jones and Justin Chancellor appeared on the stage with their weapons, guitar and bass, in their hands and started playing.

The concert lasted for one and a half hour with Maynard all time moving on his personal stage just in the right of the drums, they played some songs from their new album 10000 days and some hits like Lateralus, Sober or Schism, and ended the concert with the greatest Aenema!
The show was awesome with 4 screens behind the band with some really weird images typical from Tool, but there were two big problems with the show, first the voice of Maynard didn't sound quite good, it was like a whisper, and the second was the typical idiot staff from this places that crashed me all across the hall just because I was carrying a camera.... hey! but mobile phones do have cameras and there were no problems with that, well what can we expect from this people and from the owners of the place ... It wasn't Tool rules because there are lots of pics from Madrid concert, almost all photos of this post are from Madrid's gig.

Just one thing Danny Carey is GOD, just GOD!

Ok, I'm not big fan of F-1 but today I was watching one of the most beautiful races in the world, Monaco GP the first part of the race was nice with Alonso on the lead and Raikkonen on his back trying to pass him, but suddenly Raikkonen Engine failed while the safety car was in track due to another accident, and the first thing the Tv commentator said was "Bad luck for Iceman again". Again, well that caused me curiosity and I got my laptop and visited www.formula1.com, the official website, and while checking the statistics of the las three years I found something:

Retired in 7 due to Engine (3 times),Tires, Transmission, Electrical problem and one accident.
During the qualification for Europe GP he broke his engine also.

Season 2005
19 GP's raced
Retired in 3 due to hydraulic problem, driveshaft and withdrew in USA.
In Italy,France and Great Britain GP he broke the engine in the qualification.

Season 2006
7 Gp's raced
Retired in 2 due to Engine and an accident

Evangelion Robots

Yesterday I was surfing the web and I found this really interesting article in The Japan Times Honda Unveils Thought-guided robot, so the first thing that crossed my mind was, hey! soon we will be able to see Mazinger Z and EVAS in our streets.

It's really curious how things relate, one of my fav blogs is Kirai's (in spanish) and the other day he was talking about Asimov's robotic laws, check it out here

Labor Law in France

French Prime Minister Dominic de Villepin

Ok let's get started as people all across Europe may know, french government were planning to make a law about job for young people.

This law was very controversial and caused some riots all across the french country, because it was planning not to compensate people when they get fired if they're under 26 (if I remeber well), all these things caused major problems to prime french minister Dominic de Villepin like in the latest pools his valoration was going down.

Well the news is that Jacques Chirac, president of france, has ruled out this law, so in my opinion that shows us that people power is bigger than any political party. But I live in Spain and while french students were protesting against that law manifestating in the streets, most of young people in spain were drinking by the streets to protest against the prohibition of alcohol-drinking in public, and as very well entitled The New York Times "French protest,Spanish drink"
